If you drive by Island Plaza on the corner of North Collier Boulevard and Bald Eagle Drive on Marco Island, you will see a lot of scaffolding and other signs that renovations are in progress.
But don’t let the outside appearance discourage you- every store in the shopping center is still open for business!
The Island Plaza, anchored by CVS and Beall’s Outlet, is a favorite spot for locals because of stores such as The Harbor Goldsmith, China Rose Florist and Jets Surf Shop, and restaurants such as Davide Italian Café & Deli and Sweet Annie’s Ice Cream. It is a great place to spend an afternoon, have lunch or a snack and leisurely shop. Another perk of the shopping center is the ample available parking, especially in summer months.
When renovations to Island Plaza are completed, the building facades will be updated, and an outdoor seating area and even more parking will be added. Shoppers can also expect new landscaping, modern lighting, and an improved walkway.
